Ana Mavris BC-HIS

HHPA President

Ana Mavris is an Arizona State licensed and Board Certified Hearing Aid Specialist who started her profession in 2014. She is currently working for Miracle-Ear, a leading hearing healthcare company.

Ana has been a member of International Hearing Society, HIS, since 2014 and member of Hearing Healthcare Providers of Arizona, HHPA, since 2015.  In 2019 she decided to take her commitment to the hearing profession a step further by becoming President of HHPA. She also became a Hearing Aid Dispenser Representative with the Speech and Hearing Professionals Advisory Committee for Arizona Department of Health Services in September of 2019.

She is also highly involved in a nonprofit organization called HeartFire Missions, where she gets to work side by side with an ENT. Her expertise as a Hearing Aid Specialist provides the ENT with the proper information to establish if the patient is a candidate for surgery or hearing aids. She also assists in training young adults to perform basic medical skills and to advance their humanitarian aptitude.

Doug Dunker BC-HIS

Doug Dunker started fitting hearing instruments in 1999 after obtaining a degree in Hearing Instrument Sciences at Bates College in Tacoma, Washington. Doug has earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Globe University, and an MBA from Minnesota School of Business.  

He is Board Certified in Hearing Instrument Sciences (BC-HIS), a Tinnitus Care Provider, holding a certificate from the International Hearing Society, and holds a certificate from the American Conference of Audioprosthology (ACA) issued by the International Hearing Society of which he is an active member having served on various board and committee positions.

Tammy has been working in the hearing industry the last ten years and dispensing for nine.  She has served on the HHPA board for five years.  Tammy is a retired Army officer (LTC), and enjoys continuing to serve by helping people hear well.

Steve Barclay

HHPA Lobbyist and Attorney

Steve Barclay is an attorney with his own law firm, BARCLAY LEGAL, PLC.  He has spent his entire 33-year legal career practicing in the Phoenix area, and is a native Arizonan.

For many years Steve has concentrated his practice in the areas of state and local lobbying and government relations, as well as transactional legal work in the fields of health care, insurance, administrative and regulatory law. He serves as the registered lobbyist for Mayo Clinic in Arizona as well as for a number of other leading national and local institutions. He interacts regularly on their behalf at the Arizona Legislature and with the Executive branch, as well as with local governmental agencies, boards and commissions.

Steve received his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame Law School, where he was an Assistant Editor of the Law Review, and his Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Oral Roberts University.
